People of Rosscarbery- Noelle Madden
17/04/2020 | People of Rosscarbery“People of Ross” - Next up is a very appropriate business and person for the time we are in! Noelle Madden, proprietor of Rosscarbery pharmacy, and her team are essential workers on the frontline during the Covid-19 crisis, the image of Noelle through a Perspex shield a reminder for evermore of the battle we are/were in.
Due to the nature of their work Noelle and the team have had to adapt and operate to keep the local residents in ours and neighbouring parishes fit and healthy and prescriptions continued.
What a service, but then that is what we are used to with this fantastic business! More than a pharmacy it has the ethos of a hospitality business and a very forward thinking one at that with many strings to its bow!
“I’m mum to three beautiful children – Cliodhna (12), Cillian (10) and Odhran (9). I feel blessed to have the support of my husband Bernard and our three wonderful children to whom everything is possible and their hugs and kisses at the end of even the toughest day at work make it all worthwhile!” What a sentiment, especially at this time!
Noelle worked in a pharmacy for 11 years, before realising her dream of owning her own pharmacy when she (and Bernard) purchased Rosscarbery Pharmacy on May 5, 2005.
Noelle recently won the Network West Cork STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) Business Woman of the Year went on to represent West Cork in the National Awards at the Hotel in September 2019.
“We walk the path of life with our customers through sickness and health. Our aim is to help people to remain healthy and well through healthy lifestyle advice”
From the hotels perspective Rosscarbery Pharmacy is an absolute godsend! To have this business, at walking distance, for our guests who are maybe a long way from home and need medication or some advice on ailments is just priceless, what’s more the service received is second to none.
Thank you from all of us in the hotel and in the community Noelle!
